Big news update: the film is FINISHED. That's right ladies and gentlemen, finished.
After the most ridiculous, start and stop, post-production process I've ever been involved in, our long journey is complete...sort of.
Head over to SEE THE FILM and do just that. I've decided to put the film up, in it's entirety, for everyone to view for free. It's not the full high-definition version of the film (there'll be an update about that in the very near future.)
Now that the film is finished, keep checking this page to see more updates about festival screenings, HD copies of the film, and other various news bits.
Also, I'd like to offer a bit of belated congrats to our DP, Jason Hawkins, on his nuptials. He's now a happily married man, in pre-producton on a short film of his own (with co-star of A Long, Slow Goodbye, Michael Palma) and I wish him the best of luck, even though he's got more than enough talent to cover it.
That's it for now. Thanks for your patience!

September 20, 2008 --
So obviously, lack of updates lately. A lot of the post production work on the film had to be put on hold for other projects and other situations but work has definitely resumed. There is one slight bit of audio engineering to finish and the film will be 100%.
The second wave of film festivals submissions is starting this month so everyone cross your fingers that the film will be playing in a major market film festival sometime early next year.
More good news, the film is now part of Afterlight Pictures' first wave of Short Films OnDemand. They're putting the whole package together now, but it looks like you might be able to rent the film on Comcast, Directv, and DISH before it premieres at a festival.
More later...

July 11, 2008 -- New Site Up
Hello all and welcome to the official site for "A Long, Slow Goodbye". We're still in the building phase so you'll see updates to not only content but function and design of the site over time.
The film is 99% done and all that is left is final sound mixing and it'll be all done. Those who've been in the loop for the post-production process know how long it's dragged from my initial projections but the score and soundtrack are incredibly important things to me and I had to make sure that it was up to my high standards. But we're there now and things will pick up from here on out.
Here is the new poster, hot off the digital presses:
At the moment, we're planning a screening in Atlanta for those in the cast and crew (as well as family and friends) so keep checking back here for updates and I'll put the time and place information up as soon as it's nailed down.
So here is what you'll see on the site:
Synopsis and production information in the ABOUT THE FILM section.
Profiles of everyone involved in the film in the CAST & CREW section.
Behind the scenes and Production photos in the IMAGE GALLERY.
Trailers in multiple formats in the VIDEOS section.
Festival screening and future purchase information in the SEE THE FILM section.
Enjoy the site and leave a comment in the guestbook section. Thanks for stopping by!

Sometimes, we lose the people we love.
Sometimes, we blame ourselves.
And sometimes, just sometimes, the people we love aren't entirely gone.
Such is the theme of "A Long, Slow Goodbye", a story of lingering love and what comes after the loss.
Cassie Harrow feels alone. She lays in bed at night and stares off into space. Then she starts seeing someone everywhere she goes, someone she lost long ago. Her friends and family don't believe her but she sees him. And he sees her.
So what happens when the people we love come back? What power does pain truly have? What would you do if you saw them again?
The final, finished version of A Long, Slow Goodbye, free for all.
Check back here often to see film festival screening dates and for purchase options for the DVD and HD downloads.
